Venerable Suvanno was instrumental in propagating Theravada Buddhism actively through his public talks in the 1980s and 1990s, especially in Penang. Through his talks in the Hokkien dialect, many Chinese Buddhists had their first taste of the words of the Buddha. Even though the Venerable was a highly respected monk, he was a humble son of the Buddha and constantly observed the Vinaya rules.

Testimonials
I just wanted to say 'Thank You'. This website means so much to us. I originally found it when I was sent the site address for Chief Reverend, then created a site for my mum the very same day. Again, just a very big “Thank You” for a job well done!

Thank you
